How do I apply to attend Kino College?

How much does it cost to attend Kino College?

Is the Professional Medical Assistant program the only program available?
Yes, the United States Department of Labor Statistics has identified Medical Assisting as one of the top 10 fastest growing professions over the next 10 years. Jobs in this field are projected to exceed the number of available medical assistants. Accordingly, Kino College focuses solely on preparing Medical Assistants for a rewarding career in today’s healthcare industry. This singular focus allows us to provide the highest quality education possible.
How long does it take me to graduate from Kino College?
The Professional Medical Assistant program at Kino College is approximately 9-months in duration. You will spend approximately eight months in the classroom and an additional five weeks in a clinical externship prior to graduation.
Are there costs of the program beyond tuition?
In addition to tuition, there is a $100 registration fee and a $510 books & supplies fee. Please Contact Us to schedule an appointment to discuss tuition, fees and payment plans.
Other expenses the student may incur include immunizations (if one is not fully immunized), interest and late fees if payments are not made on time, and regular transportation to clinical externship sites in the greater Tucson area. Certain clinical externship sites may charge additional fees (e.g., parking) and may require the extern to have medical insurance.
What time of day are classes held?
Kino College realizes that many of our students have family and work responsibilities. In order to accommodate students varying schedules, we make every effort to offer a convenient class schedule. Currently, we are running classes, Monday through Thursday from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
Does Kino College accept Federal Financial Aid?

What is an externship?
After students successfully complete all coursework, they are placed in an externship. An externship is an unpaid position within a medical facility where students apply their skills with real patients under close supervision. This opportunity provides students with valuable on-the-job practice and coaching in real-life situations. Kino College’s vast network of doctors and medical practices allows students access to a wide variety of facilities in which to put their classroom knowledge to practice.
Will Kino College help me get a job when I graduate?
Kino College assists graduates with both externship and employment placement. Our team will work with you to explore career interests and placement options, build an effective resume, complete employment applications, prepare you for the job interview and assist you with your job search. Kino College can not guarantee a job upon graduation.
Is Kino College accredited?

Can Kino College graduates become Certified Medical Assistants?
Kino College students and graduates are eligible to sit for both the NCCT and CCBMA certification exams. Our graduates are certified through one or both of these organizations.
