CLASSES HELD AT A MEDICAL CAMPUS

Kino College facilities are located and distributed within a major community medical campus. This facility model has several advantages. Students are immersed in this medical environment from day one through externship. They attend classes in a classroom on a medical campus, practice their skills using equipment in both the classroom and in examination rooms, participate in observational studies within the medical environment, and interact on a regular basis with medical personnel. A unique element of the curriculum is a midternship experience for students. Similar to externship, this experience provides the students an opportunity to begin practicing their skills midway through their program.

Adjunct instructors and guest lecturers are drawn from the community medical campus and adjacent medical practices. Career placement is focused on meeting the needs of the community medical campus and nearby medical practices.

The Kino College, North Tucson Campus is located within the Northwest Medical Center campus. The administrative offices are located in the Desert Cardiology building, 6080 N. La Cholla Blvd., Suite 110, Tucson, Arizona 85741.
